The draft is ready: the autumn teas, the Darjeeling restock and a recipe for iced oolong.
Missing
- Photos: the new teas arrive Friday, so there are none yet. Last month's would do.
- Discount: 10% for everyone, or 15% for subscribers only?
Your call
- Pick the discount, and I'll put the code in the email.
Ready
- Research checked every price and date.
- The list has 2,340 subscribers; this month's 18 unsubscribes are out.

The October newsletter goes out Tuesday at 9 AM, when Analytics says most people open it.
In it
- The autumn teas, with last month's photos.
- 15% off for subscribers with AUTUMN15, until October 31.
- The Darjeeling is back on November 4.
- A recipe for iced oolong.
Checked
- Every link opens, and the code works at checkout.
- A test copy looks right in Gmail and on a phone.

Beta build 41 is 9 commits behind main (e41b0c2 → a3c91e7). The split diff view is in main, not in any build yet.
Blocking
- URL handler: Audit's two fixes sit on
audit/url-handler, not merged. - Intel DMG: build 41 crashes at launch on macOS 13, a macOS 14 API called without an availability check.
Your call
- Ship the Intel fix in 2.4, or drop macOS 13 on Intel and say so in the release notes.
Ready
- Split diff view merged (#412), 212 tests green.
- The appcast serves nightly, beta and stable apart.
- Release notes drafted by Launch.

Nightly build 42 is live at driftwood.app/nightly; nightly users get it from the appcast within the hour.
In this build
- Split diff view, side by side or inline (#412).
- Audit's URL handler fixes (2 commits).
- Intel: launches on macOS 13 again.
- Designer's new toolbar icons.
Checked
xcodebuild test: 212 passed on the macOS 14 and 15 runners.- Notarized and stapled; Gatekeeper accepts the DMG on Apple silicon and Intel.
- Universal DMG, 38.2 MB;
appcast.xmlandCHANGELOG.mdlist build 42.
BlameViewTests.driftwood:// URL handler: it opens a repository path without checking it's one the user added, and it logs the whole URL, tokens included. The fixes are on audit/url-handler (2 commits). Entitlements and keychain code haven't changed since 2.3./appcast.xml?channel=nightly, beta or stable. Stable users stay on 2.3.6 until launch day.
Agents
One agent per job.
Each agent has its own name, instructions, model and chat. Give each one a job, and they meet in a group chat.

Glances
See it before it's built.
Ask how something would look, and the agent shows a glance: a small, working visual right in the chat, before it touches your code. Say yes, and it builds the real thing.

Claude Code is working
Coding
Real engineering tasks.
Hand an agent a bigger job, like a split diff view or a flaky test. It works on its own branch in its own git worktree, runs your tests, asks you when it needs a decision, and ends with a result.
- Many at once. Several agents work on their own branches side by side; your checkout stays as it is.
- You stay in charge. Questions come to the chat, and you choose the model, reasoning and access each tool gets.
A result for every round.
Each round ends with a report: what changed, how it was checked (tests, builds, screenshots) and the commit, with a preview you can open.
The split diff view is ready for review in PR #412: side by side by default, inline with ⌥⌘D.
What changed
DiffView.swift: two columns with synced scrolling and word-level highlights.- Settings: side by side or inline, kept per repository.
- Big files: diffs over 5,000 lines load in pages.
Checked
xcodebuild test: 212 passed, 14 of them new, on macOS 14 and 15.- Opened a 9,000-line diff: the first page shows in 80 ms. Commit 7f2d1c4.
